Earthquake Kit

All students should have their own earthquake kit in the classroom in case of an emergency. Reilly PTA is selling a standard earthquake kit for your child. Each kit costs $15.00. Each kit has a 5-year shelf life and will support life (with proper protein and vitamins) for 3 days. All kits will be stored in your child’s classroom and will be returned to you at the end of the school year. The kits can be returned for use each school year until the expiration date (approx. 5 years).

We understand that some parents may prefer to assemble their own kits and you can do this if you choose. Items such as granola, peanuts, and most canned foods have a shelf life of 6-8 months, and water should be recycled every year to avoid bacteria.

To purchase an earthquake kit, please place your order no later than Monday, September 13, 2024. The kit will not be available for ordering after that date. After the kits are delivered, you will receive an email confirmation informing you that your child’s kit is in their classroom.
