President, Lauren Olson

  • Mom to Lucas (4th Grade) and Madelyn (2nd Grade); wife of 14 years to Hokuto (Cal Poly SLO Sweetheart).
  • 5th year at Reilly and 4th year on the PTA Board.

  • I love crafting, knitting, baking, gardening, traveling, and exploring with my family.  Watching the kids learn and grow is one of my favorite things.  I am very excited to be part of the Reilly family!

Executive Vice President, Alex Alexander

  • I am “Alex” O. Alexander, and I am excited to serve as Executive Vice President for the 2023/24 Reilly PTA.
  • Both of my children attended Reilly last year and benefitted from the interactive programming and philanthropic efforts of last year’s PTA. I served as a volunteer for the 2022/23 Marathon Club which gave me the opportunity to meet many of our students, staff, and families.
  • Prior to joining the Reilly community, I had the privilege of serving in various nonprofit and civic roles, and I look forward to leveraging those experiences and skill to be an impactful leader for the Reilly community.

Parliamentarian, Christy Williams 
  • Wife and mom of two boys, Jaxon (3rd grade) and Braylon (8th grade). 
  • This is our third year at Reilly. We love the wonderful teachers, staff, and families.
  • Alumni at CSU Long Beach (BA Communications). 
  • Local real estate agent who is passionate about giving back to the community and helping others. 
  • I enjoy volunteering, event planning, hiking, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. 

Vice President Ways and Means, Julianne Hamstrom

  • Wife to Brian, fixer of anything and everything
  • Mother to Ember (3rd grade) and  Ciel (1st grade)
  • Vice President of Human Resources- Healthcare and Life Sciences
  • We love Reilly and everyone here. We are so excited to be a part of the Reilly family. We love to travel and go on adventures as a family. I love to cook, read and volunteer.

Treasurer, Nicole Steller
  • Mom to Kinley (5th grade), Kaia (2nd) and Teddy (future Patriot) 
  • Past Finance and Accounting Manager, current tennis coach and stay at home mom

Financial Secretary, Kelly Cruz

  • Wife to the love of my life, Jason (married in 2007)
  • Proud Mom to Landon (4th grade) and Ellie (3rd grade) as well as our two dogs (Josie and Paisley)
  • Graduate of UC Irvine (Psychology) and Pepperdine Law
  • Attorney, VP of Legal and Risk for Single Family Office
  • So grateful for our wonderful school community 

Secretary, Negar Cyrus

  • Married my best friend, Saeed, in 2012.
  • Mom to Laleh (4th grade), Leyli (2nd grade) and Mochi (Goldendoodle).
  • South county native who loves my community deeply.

Auditor, Nicole Swanson
  • Mom to Hannah (6th grade) and Zach (3rd grade)
  • Married my Canadian high school sweetheart, David.
  • I was a teacher before kids and now I volunteer where and when I can.
  • I love spending time with family and friends, especially if it’s on the ski hill or a white sand beach.

    Historian, Denise Bloom
    • Married for 10 years to Brian Bloom
    • Mom to 2 wonderful boys, Matthew who is in 3rd grade this year, and Jacob who is in 1st grade
    • Joined the Reilly Elementary School family two years ago
    • Have lived in Orange County most of my life, with the last half of my life in South Orange County
    • So grateful for a wonderful place to live and an amazing school for my kids

    Vice President Communications, Carrie Diaz
    • Wife to my love, Daniel, who I met at UCSB (we both graduated with Business, Econ. & Accounting degrees).
    • Mom to Landon (5th grade), Lillian (2nd grade) and Brooklyn (2.5 yrs).
    • This is our second year at Reilly after relocating to Mission Viejo and we are so thankful for all the wonderful teachers and staff and the whole Reilly family.

      PTA Board Descriptions


      • Serves as the official contact, communicator and representative of the PTA.
      • Oversees the operations of the entire PTA and all of its programs ensuring that they run smoothly and procedures are followed. Daily emails and text messages to keep in contact with officers and committee chairs as events are planned and executed.
      • Works closely with the school principal and other district PTA representatives.

      Executive VP

      • Supports the President as needed.
      • Oversees and supports Committee Chairs. Communicates with Committee Chairs and helps fill in as needed.
      • Helps resolve disputes and problems that arise.


      • Completes bi-annual audit's of the PTA's financial transactions, policies and procedures.
      • Duties include: 
        • Reconciling and reviewing bank accounts
        • Reviews financial transactions. 
        • Ensure proper accounting for receipts. 
        • Ensure expenditures have been authorized in the minutes. 
        • Review conformity to PTA financial policies and procedures

      Recording Secretary

      • Copies and distributes the agenda for Executive Board and General Meetings.
      • Records attendance and takes minutes at Executive Board and General Meetings.
      • Maintains the official records of the PTA (minutes, bylaws)

      Financial Secretary

      • Collects money from PTA committee chairs to deposit at the bank. Counts and verifies total. Prepares deposit slip and gives receipt to committee chair. 
      • Reconciles / Deposits all money collected at
      • Logs all deposits into correct categories in Quickbooks.
      • Runs a monthly income report to be presented by the Treasurer at PTA monthly meeting.

      VP Ways & Means

      • Oversees all PTA fundraising activities at Reilly. Manages the timing of events to minimize overlap.
      • Works with the committee chair of each event during planning and organization of each event.
      • Leads the Jog A Thon Committee, our biggest fundraiser of the year to effectively market the event. Chooses prizes and decorations, finds sponsors, sets up, organizes volunteers, collects donations, and hosts dance party.
      • Sets up Dine Outs and School Supply Fundraisers.


      • Oversees establishment of PTA bank account and occasional payments
      • Collects and tallies PTA volunteer hours


      • Manages permanent records to track funds and financial transactions. Reconciles bank statements.
      • Writes checks for PTA expenses and payments authorized by the association.
      • Prepares reports to show income and expenses at monthly PTA Meeting.
      • Works with Auditor to meet PTA Auditing requirements.

      VP Communications

      • Oversees the management of the website ( via a chairperson if so desired
      • Communicates events and information through social media, text and email with the help of a committee chair, is desired.
      • Oversees the creation and distribution of the annual digital PTA Directory to be given out to all PTA members.
      • Oversees the Room Parent Coordinator ensuring all communications are accurate and timely. 
      • Oversees the creation and distribution of paper fliers to promote events.
      • Oversees the composing and distribution of the bimonthly PTA newsletter.
